Membership
- New members are always welcome!
- You are welcome to come to the Clubhouse any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday evening and talk to any committee member and learn more
about the benefits of membership.
- 2023 Membership is now available to Pay Online.

- Training for u8 age groups (must be going to primary school) is from 6:30pm to 7:15pm, on Friday evenings only. All juveniles 8+ train every Tuesday
and Friday evening, U12s from 6:30 to 7:15pm and 12+ from 7:30pm to 9pm.
The Fit4Life programme runs from 7:30pm to 8:30pm every Monday and Wednesday at the track.
- There is a €2 fee per training session at the track, payable before training begins in the hallway of the clubhouse. For families, the fee per training session is €5.
- Events covered include: Cross Country Training, Track and Field (indoor and outdoor), Road Racing.
- Sprinting events: 60m, 80m, 100m, 200m, and 400m.
- Middle distance events: 800m, 1,500m, 3,000m, Steeplechase and Race Walking.
- Hurdles: 80m, 100m and 400m.
- Throws: Javelin, Hammer, Discus and Shot Putt.
- Jumping events: High, Long, Triple and Pole Vault.
Finding Us - Location Monavea
St. Abban's Athletic Club is located in Monavea, Crettyard, Co Laois. We are 10km from the Castlecomer roundabout west of Carlow Town (toward Abbeyleix) in County Laois. The Clubhouse and
running track are located behind Mayo churchyard, just off the main road.
